Program

Dr. Andras Dinnyes gave the overview about Biotalentum and it’s research activities, spoke about ideas for communication of genetic research and ethical issues to the wider public and gave the background on Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer (Cloning).

 

Dr. Andras Dinnyes introduced to Ethics and Animal Welfare Issues.

Dr. Melinda Pirity presented history of mise as a research object and mouse – as a genetically tractable model system of human disease, production of transgenic cell and animal models, gene construct preparation and targeting strategy, genetic alterations to mammalian cells.

Dr. Olga Ujhelly was speaking about Induced Pluripotent Stem (iPS) cells – as new tools for future regenerative medicine and drug testing.

Dr. Claudia Carstea spoke about fluorescence microscops, staining for cardiac and neuronal  gene expression (with visualising genes) and pluripotency (stem cell markers).
