April 2009, ACADEMIA

The MY SCIENCE European Programme for Young Journalists is aimed at building bridges between scientists’ communities and the wider public. 90 young journalists from all over Europe will be offered a chance to participate in the workshops organised into laboratories specialised in selected fields of science (1. Information and Communication Technologies, 2. Stem Cell and Nuclear Transfer Cloning Technologies, 3. Renewable Energy, 4. Environment, 5. Humanities, 6. Modern Chemistry). At each workshop participants will get firsthand information on leading scientific EU-funded projects, develop editorial knowledge in research related areas and learn how to communicate the outcomes and relevance of the scientific projects to the public. The call for Applicants will be launched in April 2009. Interested individuals are encouraged to check the project’s website at www.my-science.eu. MY SCIENCE is funded by the European Commission in the frame of FP7 Programme and coordinated by EURAC, International Relations and Project Service.
