after final conference in Bolzano, Italy 28th May 2010

Among the guests of the “Communicating Science – Strengthening the – Researcher, Journalist, Citizen – Triangle” conference were Prof. Peter Grünberg, German Nobel Laureate in Physics from 2007 (Germany), Raffaella Di Iorio from Scientific Culture and Gender Issues, DG Research – European Commission, Istvan Palugyai – editor of Hungarian newspaper and well known science communicator (Hungary) and Prof. Nuno Crato, who got EU science communicator award in 2007 (Portugal).

My Science meetings:

Vienna, Austria

First group of 15 young media makers met in the framework of My Science Programme in Vienna, Austria to get to know about Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Meeting of participants from Poland, Italy, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Portugal, France, Lietuania and Estonia took place at the University of Vienna.

Gödöllő, Hungary

Second team of 15 young media makers had a meeting in Gödöllő, Hungary for The Stem Cell and Nuclear Transfer Cloning technologies workshop at BioTalentum. Participants were from the Netherlands, Slovenia, Czech Republic, UK, Spain, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy and Latvia. This was the second meeting in the framework of My Science Program. Study visit started on 25th and last till 29th January 2010.

Bolzano/Bozen, Italy

The biggest group of 45 young media makers from Finland, Marocco, Serbia, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria, Germany, Slovenia, Netherlands, UK, Poland, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Italy and Romania met in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy for three workshops at the same time: Humanities, Renewable Energy and Environment at European Academy EURAC. It was the third meeting and the third, the fourth and the fifth workshops in the framework of My Science Program. Study visit started on 22nd and last till 27th February 2010.

Prague, Czech Republic

The last group of 15 young media makers met in Prague, Czech Republic for the last workshop – of Modern Chemistry, 8th-13th March 2010. Meeting of representatives of Italy, Netherlands, Turkey, Poland, Demnark, USA, Spain, Moldova, France and Albania took place at Institute of Chemical Technology (ICTP). It was the sixth workshop in the framework of My Science Program.
