Programme
MY SCIENCE is a EU funded Programme which supports young journalists to learn about European research and sciences. You will be given the chance to meet researchers personally, see their work closely and develop friendly relationships with them. As a result of the programme, you will understand more about sciences and have an opportunity to prepare interesting media works about research. Does it sound interesting?
Why is communicating science important?
In order to stay competitive in today`s World, Europe needs to be innovative and put a great emphasis on scientific research. Since science and research have a daily impact on all European citizens and still, the majority of EU citizens do not know enough about European research or are indifferent towards science, the objective is to make research and science more attractive and understandable to the wider public. So don`t miss the chance and learn what science is about!
The Programme
Six European research laboratories with different scientific fields are involved in the Programme, so you can chose your favourite field and learn about it more. During the one week workshop you will be involved in on-going EU funded research projects in the laboratory. You will have the chance to discuss with the researchers, participate in scientific experiments meet other young journalists from all around Europe. By the end of the workshop you will start to develop your ’science network’ including scientists and other young journalists and you will feel confident about preparing media works in the field of science and research.
